Privacy Policy
JEM Studio is built to respect your privacy. In plain terms: your videos, photos, and audio stay on your device, and we do not collect your personal data.
No account, no backend, no data collection
JEM Studio does not require an account, and it has no server or backend of its own. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user profile. It does not collect, store, or transmit your personal information to us or to anyone else. Everything the app needs lives on your device.
Everything happens on your device
All editing and export, including importing, trimming, splitting, adding text, adding audio, and saving your finished video, is performed locally on your device. Your media is never uploaded to us or to any third party.
Photo and media library
When you add media, JEM Studio uses Apple's system photo picker. The app can only access the specific photos or videos you choose. It does not scan, read, or upload your photo library.
If an item you pick is stored in iCloud and is not fully downloaded to your device, Apple Photos may need to download it first before JEM Studio can use it. That download is handled by Apple's system, not by JEM Studio, and the media still is not sent to us.
Saving and sharing
Exported videos are saved to your device's camera roll only when you choose to export. If you share a video, it is sent through the destination you select using Apple's standard share sheet. JEM Studio does not send it anywhere on its own.
No tracking, no ads, no transmitted analytics
This version of JEM Studio contains no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no analytics that leave your device. It does not use analytics SDKs, and it does not transmit usage data.
The app includes an optional analytics preference so you can decide in advance whether you would ever allow anonymous, non-identifying usage statistics. In this version that preference only records your choice on your device. It does not send anything. If a future version can actually transmit anonymous statistics, that option will be off by default, clearly disclosed, and this policy and the App Store privacy label will be updated before that version ships. Anonymous statistics would never include your media, project content, entered text, or any identifier tied to you, and turning the preference off would stop collection immediately.
Bundled music
JEM Studio includes public-domain and Creative Commons licensed music (see the in-app credits). This bundled content does not collect any data.
Children
JEM Studio is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
