JEM Studio is a native short-form video editor for iPhone. Import clips and photos, edit on a timeline, and export watermark-free, all on your device.

Importing clips and photos
- An item will not import, or imports slowly. If the clip or photo lives in iCloud, Apple Photos may need to download it to your device first. Open the Photos app, let the item finish downloading, then try adding it again. A strong connection helps.
- You do not see the media you expected. JEM Studio only sees the items you pick in Apple's photo picker. If something is missing, tap to add media again and select it, or widen your selection in the picker.
- The picker shows only some photos. That is Apple's limited photo access working as intended. You can adjust what JEM Studio may pick from in the iOS Settings app under Privacy and Security, then Photos.
Exporting your video
- Export fails or stops partway. Make sure your device has enough free storage for the finished video, then try again. Longer or higher-resolution projects need more space.
- You cannot find the exported video. Finished exports are saved to your camera roll in the Photos app. Check your Recents album.
- Saving to the camera roll is blocked. JEM Studio needs permission to save videos. In the iOS Settings app, under Privacy and Security, then Photos, confirm JEM Studio is allowed to add to your library.
- Sharing did not send anywhere. Sharing uses Apple's standard share sheet, so the video goes only to the destination you choose. If it did not send, reopen the share sheet and pick the destination again.
Restoring projects
- The app closed mid-edit. JEM Studio autosaves as you work and recovers your project on the next launch. Reopen the app and your recent project should be waiting.
- A project looks empty after reopening. Your edits reference the original clips and photos. If the source media was deleted or moved out of your photo library, some items may not load. Restore or re-add the missing media, then reopen the project.
- You still cannot recover a project. Email jemcut@icloud.com with your device and iOS version and what you last did. Losing your work is the failure we care most about, so we want to hear about it.
Privacy
JEM Studio has no account and no backend, and your media stays on your device. For the full details, read the privacy policy.
